Senior Backend Engineer – build payment infrastructure at Dintero

<h2>About the role</h2><p>If you enjoy building backend systems where reliability and correctness really matter, this is an opportunity to work on the core – not the edges – of a payment platform. Dintero is looking for a senior engineer who wants to own what they build.</p><h2>About Dintero</h2><p>Dintero is a Norwegian fintech company that develops and operates its own payment infrastructure, from transaction through settlement and risk. Its platform handles more than 150 million API calls a month, and Dintero has direct access to Visa and Mastercard.</p><p>A small engineering team works on challenges spanning distributed systems, high availability and financial correctness. You will be close to architectural decisions and production, with short decision paths and a culture that values sound engineering over unnecessary process. The role is on-site in Nydalen, Oslo.</p><h2>What you will do</h2><ul><li>Design and own backend services end-to-end</li><li>Build APIs used by merchants and partners</li><li>Make architectural decisions with long-term impact</li><li>Improve scalability, observability and operational quality</li><li>Ship frequently and own what you run in production</li></ul><p>The stack includes Node.js and TypeScript, microservices, Infrastructure as Code and AWS services such as Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB and Aurora.
